2016 All-State Winners and Scholarship Recipients for the Scholastic Clay Target Program

The Tennessee Wildlife Federation announced the 2016 All-State Winners and Scholarship Recipients for the Scholastic Clay Target Program during an awards ceremony held at the Montgomery County Shooting Sports Complex in Clarksville, TN, on August 13th. 

2016 All-State winners have proven academic excellence by posting a year-ending grade average of 92 or better, have logged excellent scores in Regional and State competitions and have demonstrated outstanding community involvement. 

Scholarships were awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, school and community involvement, and knowledge of the importance of conservation and the shotgun sports. 

The Lawrence County Shooting Team had three All-State recipients; Logan Cowheard, Connor Walters, and Rhett Yates.  Connor Walters was also awarded the $750 Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program Scholarship, which will be applied to his enrollment this fall at Freed Hardeman University.
